What is Chiropractic and why we need it ?

The age of Chiropractic philosophy goes back to more than one thousand years ago. The old walls of
China, India and Egypt depict pictures of men and women treating patients as these patients are lying
on their stomach. The art of this ancient science was officially named Chiropractic in 1895 when Dr. D.D
Palmer was able to restore a deaf man’s hearing by removing nerve interference in his spine.
It has now been over one Hundred years and over seventy thousand Chiropractors all over the United States are still striving to educate patients on the simplicity of this fascinating science.

The foundation of Chiropractic states that the body will remain in a state of ease and complete health
if the nerve emanating from the spine will reach their destinations without any interference. Once there is pressure on the nerve due to physical or emotional or chemical stress the equilibrium to the body will be compromised and a state of dis-ease begins. Now external force is needed to remove the stress on the nerve and subsequently return the state of equilibrium to the body. This external force is called chiropractic.
Chiropractors use spine as a leverage and manipulate it in order to get to the nervous system. When the nervous system is at its optimal level, the other systems including the musculoskeletal, endocrine, vascular and immune system will be at their optimal levels and subsequently we not only feel healthy but in actuality we are healthy.
One of the most common causes of death in our country stems from diabetes and diabetes related complications. In type 1 diabetes the hormone insulin is either absent or in very minimal amounts.
In type two diabetes the body’s sensitivity towards insulin diminishes. In both cases the blood sugar surges and if untreated, many organs most important of which the heart, the kidneys and the eyes will be affected.
The medical community offers exercises, changes in diet and medicine to control diabetes. The science of Chiropractic agrees with exercise and change in diet. However, claims that very often the conservative chiropractic treatment plus nutrition can immensely help a diabetic person lower their sugar without the side effects of medication.
